Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Internal Cleaning
Clean the interior of the refrigerator and its accessories with warm water mixed with bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, or wax polishes to prevent damage and lingering odors.
External Cleaning
Clean the outer casing of the refrigerator with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Avoid using proprietary kitchen cleaners as they may contain chemicals that can damage the appliance's plastics.
Defrost Regularly
When frost reaches a thickness of 4mm in the freezer, remove it using a plastic scraper. This prevents excessive frost buildup which can affect the appliance's efficiency.
Check and Clean Drain Hole
Regularly check that the drain hole is not blocked to ensure proper drainage and prevent water buildup.
Dust the Condenser and Compressor
Once or twice a year, clean the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner to maintain performance and prevent excessive energy consumption.
